KGAP+ Batch5 – Japan Challenge – [Online]2021/06/15

KGAP+ (Keihanna Global Acceleration Program Plus) will hold a preliminary round in Japan for Batch 5.

KGAP+ is a startup support program that attracts promising startups from Japan and abroad with the goal of conducting PoC and pilot tests in collaboration with large Japanese enterprises as well as overseas expansion. So far, 48 startups from 8 countries have participated in the program, and 83% of them have been able to implement PoC or enter into collaborative discussions with the program’s support.

In this “Japan Challenge”, 5 startups from Keihanshin area (Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo), which has been selected as a Global Hub City, and 2 startups from Tokyo will pitch their innovative technologies and services to take part in the Batch 5.

After the event, there will be a breakout session where you can have a Q&A session with the startups and interact with them to the fullest. We look forward to seeing you there!

      “RuleWatcher” is an unique SaaS service that provides timely trend information by visualizing official information from governments, UNs, NGOs, etc. Our strength is to penetrate language barrier and provides high-quality rule-trend analysis by focusing social issues.

      “Consento” is a digital security solution that eliminates the need for passwords, SIM cards, and central servers by allowing family members or other trusted people to participate in the authentication process, providing safe and secure way to manage information.

    5. Halu Inc.
      IKOU is an inclusive brand that pursues human-centered design to meet the diverse needs of children. Focusing on the needs of children with physical disabilities and their families, IKOU develops portable chairs to expand their range of activities and kids’ wear to make their daily lives more comfortable.
    6. Flora Co., Ltd.
      Flora uses AI chatbot, which using cognitive behaviour therapy prompts communication with women that experience signs of postnatal or prenatal depression. We collect data from chatbot personalize the contents of therapy sessions afterwards.

    7. aiwell inc.
      “aiwell care” is a micro blood sampling kit that allows people to easily perform a blood test with the same accuracy as at a hospital while staying at home. While ordinary micro blood sampling only tests 15 items, “aiwell care” can test up to 45 items.

    1. Robot AI (Batch 2 Alum)
      RobotAI develops algorithm that uses simple, webcam like, camera to estimate position and orientation of any objects around the robot. RobotAI technology makes robots aware of the environment, adaptable to changes and easily programmed.
    2. Agartee Technology (Batch 1&2 Alum)
      Agartee Technology provides solution to COPD patients (generally aged and with high risk at home) monitoring patients’ various bio-markers, symptoms and health conditions, and keeping the proper medicine intake. Agartee seeks collaboration with Japanese healthcare companies to remotely monitor patients with chronic condition and seniors at home.
    3. Altumview Systems (Batch 4 Alum)
      Altumview Systems develops monitoring visual sensor with a built-in AI chip for long-term care facilities and home care. It is used as a fall detection sensor in long-term care facilities and as a sensor in home care where a child who has left his parents’ home watches over his parents. In order to solve privacy problems, we will turn people into stick figures and visualize them.
