A hot topic for Japanese companies, which have been struggling with low growth in the deflationary economy, is open innovation and how to develop new growth strategies. This workshop discusses the current situation of Japanese companies, as well as various elements that will enable them to overcome their challenges and lead them toward success.
It considers open innovation not only as a tool to assess technologies with future potential or to select appropriate partners, but also as an issue regarding the development of human resources and the establishment of an organization, offering necessary skills to implement open innovation through project-based learning and student participation.
