In Japan, which is undergoing a significant birthrate decline, companies have been increasingly considering business ideas focused on the development needs, with the younger generation’s life stages, such as having babies and raising children, as a starting point.
Against this backdrop, this course offers cutting-edge research results in Baby Science from many directions, taught by instructors mainly at MEXT Joint Usage/ Research Center, Doshisha University Center for Baby Science based in the Keihanna area. The course deepens discussion regarding the direction of R&D about ‘babies’ in the future, while covering the future vision of a ‘meta-comfort’ and smart society on which the Research Complex project is focusing attention.
