Global Innovation Seminar”The Potetial of Innovation in Mexico – Tech Collboration with Mexican –2019/10/15

It has never been a better time to be a tech entrepreneur in Mexico or collaborate with Mexican tech companies and institutions. Mexico’s performance in innovation has strengthened over the past few years due to steady reforms and government policies. This has led to pro-private investment schemes, encouraging multinationals and local players to view Mexico as a viable hub for emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and cybersecurity. With continued support from the new administration, Mexico can become a pioneer of innovation across Latin America (LATAM) and the globe.

In this seminar, Dr. Christian Penaloza will provide a general overview of the social, technological, and economic factors influencing a culture of innovation in the country and the potential of collaboration with tech companies and research institutes. He was awarded “Distinguished Mexican Citizen” from the Mexican governement as well as “Innovator of the Year 2016 Mexico” from the MIT
