KGAP+ DAY – Batch12 DemoDay –2025/04/10

KGAP+ (Keihanna Global Acceleration Program Plus) will hold its Batch 12 closing event!

The 22 companies from 11 countries who participated in the KGAP+ Batch 12, which started on last December 26th, have been working hard on mentoring, unveiling events, approaching Japanese companies, and proposing PoCs and collaborations.

At this finale event, they will announce their results and lessons learned, and will make live passionate pitches from all over the world in search of new partners and customers.

  • Startups from each country will pitch live from their local area (for 5 minutes, each).
  • Before each startup’s presentation, we will give a brief explanation of the startup business in Japanese.
  • The pitches will be presented in English, but the entire event will be conducted in Japanese.
  • After each pitch, questions will be accepted in the Zoom Q&A box and answered by the startup.
  • In addition to the Q&A, we will provide follow-up and support upon request, such as introducing startups to their contact information and setting up online meetings.

【Industrial Automation】

    1. Introduction
    2. AutoMetrics (Canada)
      AutoMetrics has developed a system to inspect welds during the welding process, rather than manually after production. It helps improve production efficiency and ensure quality by preventing defects in real time, reducing costs and downtime.
    3. FingerVision (Japan)
      FingerVision develops and provides robotic hands that can manipulate soft, shapeless objects using a unique tactile sensor. We contribute to automating the manipulation of soft, shapeless objects (food, flowers, etc.) that only humans could do.
    4. Adventum (Latvia)
      Adventum develops sensors that measure the live load of buildings (load that changes depending on the position of people and objects and technology to wirelessly monitor and evaluate them. By monitoring, evaluating, and proposing countermeasures, we contribute to reducing the risk of collapse of existing buildings without over-designing, which increases costs.

 

【Energy & Environment】

    1. Introduction
    2. Solace (Canada)
      Solace offers wireless power and communication technology that provides high power (max. 4kW), long range (max. 375mm) and high speed communication (max. 1Gbps). This helps to achieve simultaneous power and data communication by replacing outdoor CPE, which supplies power and communicates from inside the vehicle through glass and harness connectors, with wireless connectors.
    3. AquaLID (Bulgaria)
      AquaLID develops low-cost equipments that can measure and analyze microplastics in the ocean, drinking water, and food in real time on-site. The goal is to contribute to the rapid, low-cost investigation and testing of microplastic pollution in water, food, and the environment.
    4. Jadeed (Egypt)
      Jadeed offers provides a smart hydrogen batteries (which convert water into hydrogen) that can be installed in any internal combustion engine, improving fuel efficiency and the lifespan of various parts. As an alternative fuel for internal combustion engines, it contributes to reducing CO2 emissions.
    5. Jolt Electrodes (Spain)
      Jolt Electrodes provides activated electrodes used in alkaline water electrolysis used in hydrogen production and redox flow batteries (a type of secondary battery that charges and discharges by promoting the oxidation-reduction reaction of ions through the circulation of a pumped solution). The company’s unique continuous automated production technology achieves low prices, high durability, and high energy efficiency.

    1. Introduction
    2. ApoSys (Canada)
      ApoSys provides railway infrastructure monitoring systems for tracks and surrounding facilities. It improves the quality of railway infrastructure maintenance, enhances safety and helps reduce the costs of labour-intensive inspection and infrastructure management.
    3. Turing Drive (Taiwan)
      Turing Drive offers autonomous driving systems for special-purpose vehicles (golf carts, cargo carriers, etc.) for transportation/transportation on private property. By introducing autonomous driving technology to various types of vehicles, we contribute to optimizing and streamlining operations in the area.
    4. Ascendance (France)
      Ascendance is a developer of hybrid propulsion modules that can simultaneously use multiple energy sources, including electricity, as well as low carbon, quiet and efficient aircraft to replace helicopters. The company aims to contribute to the decarbonisation of the aviation industry and the development of regional aviation.

 

【Agriculture & Food】

    1. Introduction
    2. Sultech (Canada)
      Using a manufacturing process that cuts CO2 emissions by 95 per cent over traditional processes, the company produces liquid fertiliser containing dispersed elemental sulphur particles. Unlike sulphate fertilisers, which tend to run off, or solid fertilisers, which tend to be localised, this fertiliser effectively addresses soil deficiencies over a long period of time.
    3. Aliotech (Canada)
      Aliotech prevents food poisoning caused by Listeria and Salmonella with a natural bio-ingredient (Bac M35). It provides a natural and effective alternative to traditional microbiological control measures such as chemical additives and salt.
    4. Freya  (Lithuania)
      Freya is developing a platform that uses a 3D structure to double the cultivation area and improve vegetable productivity with its unique deep ultrasound technology that diffuses nutrient solution in the form of mist. This will contribute to significantly improving the efficiency of vegetable production in existing greenhouses.

 

【Medical & Healthcare】

    1. Introduction
    2. Training Neuro-rehabilitation+ (Japan)
      Project TN+ is developing a neuro-rehabilitation system through robotics that harmonizes with the human body, brain, and neural pathways. We aim to evoke the natural sense of movement in patients with motor function impairments due to neurological reasons such as stroke, and contribute to motor learning and neural pathway recovery.
    3. FREE Bionics (Taiwan)
      FREE Bionics provides a data-driven exoskeleton system that can provide personalized support for rehabilitation in medical and nursing care. By providing safe and effective exercise, they hope to help reduce the burden on caregivers.
    4. Laflow (Latvia)
      Laflow develops clinically verified medical devices that solve breastfeeding problems (poor milk supply, congestion, clogged milk ducts, mastitis, back pain, etc.) and contribute to improving the health of mothers and infants.
    5. BrachyDOSE (Lithuania)
      BrachyDOSE develops tools to accurately measure the radiation dose administered during internal radiation therapy (inserting a radiation source directly into cancerous tissue or the surrounding tissue) and assist doctors in controlling treatment. This helps prevent overexposure to radiation and contributes to more efficient treatment (reducing costs and shortening treatment time).

 

【AI & Software】

    1. Introduction
    2. NeuinX (Taiwan)
      NeuinX extracts highlight scenes from sports videos without using expensive cameras or manpower. With real-time processing and user-friendly functions, the plaform makes it easy to share highlights with fans and stakeholders, contributing to more efficient engagement.
    3. Veritus (Japan)
      Veritus develops systems that automate the workflow of professors and research directors searching, reviewing, and analyzing papers during peer review, as well as managing students. This helps free experts from mundane tasks so they can focus on innovation.
    4. ImpersonAlly (Israel)
      ImpersonAlly provides a service that helps businesses detect and widely block fraud on the web using their brand and name before it can cause damage to their business. It prevents users from being deceived by bad actors and prevents customer data from being stolen, protecting the value of your brand in the digital age.

 

【Precision Machinery】

    1. Introduction
    2. AirSEM (Israel)
      AirSEM develops a unqiue microscope system that enables observation of sub-10 nm order without placing the sample in a vacuum. It solves the problems of SEM, such as the limitation of sample size by the vacuum chamber, charging of non-conductive samples, and destruction of samples (such as biological samples).
    3. Mirmex Motor (Belgium)
      Mirmex Motor designs and manufactures micromotors that use printed patterns on the windings, the most important part of a motor. This contributes to making motors more compact, with higher torque, lower power consumption, and lighter weight.
